GoChip Timing Chip #
To allow us to plan our rentals and ensure there are enough chips available for all customers, weekend rentals of GoChips are only available in multiples of 50. If you are purchasing GoChips, we can accomodate any quantity. A roll-up storage rack for your chips is available for $325.00.
Timing Point #
You need one timing point at each location you would like to record times (i.e. one at the finish, one at the lap, one at the turnaround point.)
GoChip Activator #
Each point on course that you want to record chip times requires an activator. The start line requires an activator if you want to record chip start times, gun start races do not need an activator at the start.
Sync Activator #
A regular GoChip activator with the additional feature and Sync Cable so you can precisely synchronize your other timing devices for FIS races. The sync activator can be used as a regular GoChip activator at a timing point after it has served it's role synchronizing other devices.
Sync Activator Upgrade + Sync Cable #
If you have already purchase a GoChip Activator and would like to update it to become a Sync Activator. This upgrade includes the special Sync Cable for synchronizing Summits, and Alge clocks.
Android Phone #
An android phone running the Zone4 GO app is required at each "live" timing point. If you do not need to collect the data in real time, or if you do not have a network connection at a timing point the phone at the next timing point can be used to read times from the previous points.
Timing Loop #
The wire loop carries the signal from the activator to the timing chips. You need one at each timing point.
Loops are sold separately to activators because customers purchasing a timing system may want to permanently install loops at various locations and plug the activator into the appropriate loop to make setup easy on race day.
GoChip test Kit #
We encourage all first-time renters to contact us to book a test kit a few weeks before their event, available just for the cost of shipping. The test kit includes a few GoChips, an activator, a phone, and a timing loop and allows you to familiarize yourself with the system in a lower-stress environment than a real race.
Race Timing Software #
If you're using both Zone4 Timing Software and Zone4 Registration, we offer a disount on the registration fee. And you can opt to include the whole timing+registration fee as an extra system fee to your registrants on top of the entry fee, instead of paying it yourself.
Remote Support #
A dedicated Zone4 staff member is assigned to your event and is engaged in the lead up to your event and on race day. During race day, you are responsible for handing out chips, making changes to racer information, and setting up activators. Zone4 staff will monitor race day data and be in communication with your local timer as needed. Remote Timing Support is strongly recommended for all first-time rental customers.
For race organizers who have not arranged for remote timing service prior to their race, our awesome support staff are still available on a first-come first-serve basis. We just won't be proactively watching for problems or doing the setup for you.
Contractor Timing #
If you're interested in having Zone4 staff on site at your race to provide local timing services, please contact us. Prices will vary depending on travel, accomodation, and event duration and complexity, and availability is limited.
If you are hiring us to provide contractor timing, the number of staff required will be determined by Zone4, depending on the duration and complexity of your event.
Zone4 Registration Form #
Plus the payment processing fees of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for payments processed through Stripe. Other merchant account prices may vary.
Offline Serverbox #
An offline serverbox allows the use of Zone4's web-based timing software at races with unreliable or unavailable internet service.
Freeze Time Cable #
The freeze time cable connects a start gate to a GoChip activator, to allow recording the start gate time using the GoChip timing system.
Start Gate #
Zone4 has a very limited supply of start gates, primarily for our own internal use. We can only offer start gates for rental once we are sure we don't need them for races we are providing contractor timing services to.
The start gate rental price include a freeze time cable for connecting to a GoChip activator.
